The Problem

Summary: Talented local artists struggle to get discovered because international streaming algorithms favor Western music, and local distribution is fragmented across USB drives and WhatsApp. The Problem: How can we build an economy for creatives if there is no central hub to find them? Why must an artist in Bo move to Freetown just to get their song heard?

Proposed Solution

Build a Music Discovery Directory. Unlike Spotify (which requires heavy bandwidth), this is a lightweight "Artist Profile" directory. Users can search by genre (Gumbe, Afrobeats, Hipco) and listen to low-data 30-second snippets, with links to follow the artist on social media or buy their music via Mobile Money or to listen to free music.
