The Problem

Summary: Community cleaning is often sporadic. There is no competitive drive or visibility to motivate one neighborhood to outperform another in cleanliness. The Problem: How can we gamify civic duty? Why would a community strive to be cleaner if no one is keeping score?

Proposed Solution

Develop a Community Leaderboard App. Communities register their "Zone." After a cleaning day, they upload photos of the pile of bags collected and how clean the environment is. Hackathon Deliverable: An app interface showing a "League Table" (e.g., Lumley vs. Aberdeen) with a mock-up of the rewards (e.g., "Winning Zone gets a Solar Streetlight").
